   MSC-TDF Market Access Events Program : Mission to World SME Expo, Hong Kong by Hong Kong Trade Development Council (16th to 18th November, 2004)
 

   
   

To provide a one-stop shop where SMEs can access a full range of support services and to initiate international cooperation, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (TDC) is expanding its annual flagship SME Market Day Exhibition in Hong Kong into a World SME Expo (www.worldsmeexpo.com) this year.

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are playing increasing roles in the world's changing economy and integrating markets. They will be facing more challenges than ever before with the progressing globalisation and internationalization of businesses. To provide a one-stop shop where SMEs can access a full range of support services and to initiate international cooperation, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (TDC) is expanding its annual flagship SME Market Day Exhibition in Hong Kong into a World SME Expo (www.worldsmeexpo.com) this year.

We cordially invite you to join our mission to explore partnership opportunities with Hong Kong companies. Appointments with potential Hong Kong partners will be arranged upon request.

The first of its kind in the region, the World SME Expo is a platform for SMEs from around the World to do business, access information, exchanges and develop ideas, and create opportunities. Occupying over 12,000 sqm of floor place, the Expo will composed of 10 thematic pavilions. Namely:

1) Business Matching, One-on-One China Business Advisory Service

2) China Trade and Investment Symposia and Industry-Specific Networking Seminars, SME Forums and International SME Conference
You would get to meet officials from Mainland China government municipals and private enterprises who would be present to offer their services; listen to a series of industry specific networking seminars and obtain first hand information from overseas SMEs representatives who will be sharing their experiences and views at the SME International Conference where all the above would run concurrently with the Expo. The talks are conducted in either English, Cantonese, Putonghua; with/without simultaneous interpretation into English/Putonghua.

1) Hong Kong Forum (16-17 November 2004)
Jointly organized by the Federation of Hong Kong Business Associations Worldwide and TDC. It brings together a network of 29 Hong Kong Business Associations in 22 countries with over 9,000 individual associate.
