Roommart is a start-up company which provides Malaysia’s 1^st   online roommate finder, www.roommart.com.my. It is a portal which helps students from higher learning institutions to find rooms, roommates and houses. Besides that, agents would be able to find their preferred tenants as well; this indeed creates a two way communication unlike classified ads and it is the modern way to find accommodation since most of our target market, students, spend hours on the internet.

It was founded by David Ng, a Multimedia University student, after realizing the difficulties faced by him and fellow students when looking for a place to live. He is the new and young generation of technopreneur, who has the maturity and intellect to take advantage of a business opportunity.   

Currently, Roommart is doing their development and maintenance of the website at NTDC lab at Multimedia Central Incubator and is busy with preparations for their official launching ceremony. The launching is to be held on the 11^th of October 2004 at Multipurpose Hall, Multimedia University. Prior to that we will have a pre-launch road show where Roommart and its sponsors will be promoted throughout the different campuses. Other upcoming events that we will participate include the Microsoft TechEd Exhibition and MSC Expo.
